Two Separate Projects Commissioned By Fanteakwa South DCE.
The Fanteakwa South District Chief Executive, hon. Ernest Ofosu on Friday, April, 21 has commissioned a 3-units classroom blocks and ancillary facility for Nsutam S.D.A Junior High School and 6-seater W/C toilet facility for Osino R/C primary school in the Eastern region.
At a brief ceremony to commission the two separate projects, the DCE explained in his address that, the infrastructure is part of the district assembly’s agenda in line with the central government’s vision to promote free and quality education in the community.
Mr. Ernest Ofosu reiterated the Government’s commitment to ensuring that the Free Senior High School policy continues to be a success and thus encouraged the people gathered to support government’s vision to educate every child of school going age.
The Sod cutting for the 3-unit classroom Block was done on 18th September, 2022, awarded to Nom construction company Ltd and funded by the District Assembly Common Fund.
The 6-seater W/C toilet facility at Osino R/C primary school was also funded by the Minerals Commission Fund.
The Fanteakwa South District Chief executive, Mr. Ernest Ofosu said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is fulfilling his promise to Osino through the chalked success in the areas of roads, health, education, infrastructure, social interventions etc.
Speaking to Afeema FM’s journalist Kaakyire Kwasi Afari, the DCE called on the teachers and guardians gathered to encourage and motivate students to make good use of these two facilities given them whilst admonishing the students to burn the midnight candle.
The Nsutam SDA JHS headmaster, Mr. Nketia Fredua in a brief remark expressed his profound gratitude to the DCE for responding to their request.
However, he asked the DCE to provide other needs such as an ICT Laboratory, toilet facility and a befitting KG block for the pupils.
The headteacher mentioned that they will breath a sight of relief should the assembly include them on the list of the school feeding programme to cover over 400 students in the school.
For his part, Nana Appiah Korang, the Kyidomhene of Nsutam pleaded with the teachers to observe proper maintenance culture to help sustain the project which will engender more projects to come to the district.
The chief praised the district chief executive for his unprecedented infrastructure track records executing for Fanteakwa South District.
