HEART-MATTERS: Young Lady Stabbed To Death Over Lover
A 15-year-old girl from Mangwe District stabbed her peer to death after accusing her of dating her boyfriend.
Assistant Inspector Thandolwenkosi Moyo, the acting provincial police spokesperson for Matabeleland South, confirmed the incident, which occurred on March 20 at around 2 a.m.
He stated that the suspect and the victim had an altercation while attending a party in the Madabe area.
“I can confirm that we investigated a murder case in which a 15-year-old girl fatally stabbed a 21-year-old.” When the two got into an argument, they were at a party at a homestead in their neighborhood. The now-deceased suspect accused her of dating her boyfriend.
“She took a knife from her jacket and stabbed her colleague above the collar bone before fleeing the scene.” “She was rushed to the nearest clinic, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival,” he said.
According to Asst Insp Moyo, police conducted investigations that resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
He described it as disturbing for a young person to commit such a heinous crime. Asst Insp Moyo urged guardians and parents to keep a close eye on their children.
“It’s very concerning when people of this age engage in such criminal activities, especially when it’s a female child.”
This child, as young as she is, was not supposed to be at a party in the early hours of the morning. Asst Insp Moyo advised parents and guardians to “monitor and keep a close eye on their children.”
He claimed that a number of murders were being committed over minor issues that could be easily resolved.
