Assin South: MP, DCE commission classroom blocks with auxiliary facilities for two communities

The Member of Parliament for Assin South Constituency, Hon. Rev. John Ntim Fordjour who doubles as the Deputy Minister for Education, together with the District Chief Executive, Hon. Felicia Amissah Ntrakaw, have commissioned a 3-Unit classroom Blocks with auxiliary facilities in two different communities within the District, namely Assin Kassim and Assin Abbas.

The old classroom blocks were dilapidated and uninhabitable for students and teachers. The Assembly as part of its mandate to provide quality education constructed the new classroom blocks to aid in effective teaching and learning.

Speaking at a durbar of Chiefs and people of the aforementioned communities, Hon. Rev. Ntim Fordjour complimented the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo-led government for prioritizing education and making everything best possible for every Ghanaian child in the country to access free and quality education.

He then used the opportunity to encourage the students to make good use of the facility provided to them.

On the other hand, the District Chief Executive Hon. Felicia Amissah Ntrakaw admonished students, teachers, and, parents to cultivate the habit of maintenance culture so the facilities provided, among other educational materials would last longer.

She explained that some schools within the constituency lack educational materials due to the lack of maintenance culture, therefore increasing the pressure on the Government.

Finally, students and parents expressed their gratitude to the MP and DCE for the kind gesture.
