VIDEOS: Kejetia fire… How it happened as traders wail and count their lose | WATCH
It was on 15th of March, 2023, around 3:30pm, when calls starting trooping in about the bad news.
The second floor of the New Kejetia Market, popularly known as “Dubai” because of its look caught the fire.
Properties worth billions of cedis have been completely destroyed.
Fire officers, vigorously faced the “death fire outbreak” to douse it.
As at now the main cause of the fire have not been revealed by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), Ashanti Region branch.
But, people are just speculating on leak cylinders and bad electrical connections as the cause which are Unconfirmed from the authorized body/bodies.
This morning, Thursday, March 16, 2023, when filasconews.com visited the place of the incident around 4:15am, it was sad. Victims wearing Black and and red attires to expressing their sorrow.
Some stores owners who have just heard the news came to the place at dawn to witness and confirm what they heard.
Infact, it is a black moment for them and for us all. Some cried out while others sob.
We are still on the ground,monitoring the situation, the aftermath of the fire.
