Speaking to Silver Fm’s Akwadaa Nyame, they appealed to their MP, Obeng Takyi and DCE Nii Lartey Ollenu and other foreign donors to come to the aid of the people by constructing the roads to improve the situation.

“Pregnant women from the villages suffer complications on their way to the hospitals during labour due to the nature of the roads; Nana Ababio said.

He added, “All the roads are bad especially in the rainy seasons. It is very bad as some vehicles get stuck in the mud, which affects our work.”

They have then threatened to boycott the 2024 polls if the roads are not fixed.

For them, even though the government keeps trumpeting its infrastructural achievements in the country, their town lacks good roads. They have, therefore, urged government to fix the roads if they want to break the 8 or see them abstain from voting.

According to them, they have voted for NPP since 1992 but have not seen alsphat before. “We are tired, no road, no vote”, “Nana Addo, remember your promise they added.”

The Assembly member for Akataniase electoral area admitted the situation and urged the aggrieved Residents to exercise restraint.
