Never put your phone in your pocket for these 4 reasons
For women, pocketbooks, or handbags as they are more often known nowadays, have replaced pockets.
Yet, males frequently carry everything in their pockets. The preferred location for men’s “stuff” has evolved to be the jeans pocket, including extra change, wallets, and phones.
While it’s definitely not a good idea to stuff your pockets, frequently placing your phone there can have negative effects.
These are four good reasons to keep your phone out of your pocket:
Avoid the Consequences of Radiation
The radiation from cell phones is 2–7 times higher when they are turned on, connected to a wireless network, and carried in a pocket as opposed to a handbag or holster. Surprisingly, some bra manufacturers are producing sports bras with a hidden compartment for storing phones while exercising. A cell phone’s radiation and the development of tumors are intimately related, especially when the phone is held up to the skin. Moreover, radiation has been related to depression and cardiac abnormalities and has the ability to alter the DNA structure and male fertility. The radiation may weaken the pelvic bones and reduce bone density if it is inserted into a pant pocket.
Prevent Back Problems, Numbness and Tingling
Another reason we shouldn’t carry our phone in our pocket is back pain. The phone causes us to sit differently than we would usually, creating a structural imbalance that may eventually result in a muscular one. Even the smallest amount of persistent pressure can cause the sciatic nerve to become compressed, resulting in back discomfort that may begin in the buttocks and travel up the nerve’s course. This could cause the affected leg to become numb, tingly, and/or weak.
Avoid Accidental “Pocket” Dialing
There is a reason why they use pocket dialing. Accidental “butt” dialing is acceptable if we are calling a buddy who would comprehend, but not if we are contacting a sour boss or an ex. According to a research in an American town, 30% of 911 calls were actually “butt called” from phones that were carried around in pockets.
Prevent Costly Breakage
These days, phones are incredibly expensive and prone to damage. You face a very high danger of accidently damaging or smashing the screen of your phone if you keep it in your pocket. Nothing is more annoying than having to take our phones to the store to get them fixed or replaced because we didn’t take the time to care for them properly in the first place.
