The Second Coming: I will cancel licensure exams – Fmr. President Mahama | WATCH
The Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama popularly called JDM has stated that, he will not hesitate to cancelling the teachers licensure exams introduced by this government.
According to Former President Mahama, he will intensified the education system, implement good policies and improve the quality of examination in the various teacher training colleges across the country.
He said the teachers will get the necessary knowledge in school before passing out as professional teachers.
He said this will make the licensure exams for teachers after completing school needless in order to alleviating some burden from the teachers as they are experiencing under this government.
The licensure exams since its introduction has been been met by several backlashes from majority of the teachers and other stakeholders with educational background, describing the move by the Akufo-Addo government as a double task to frustrating Ghanaian teachers.
The former president was speaking to a group of people on a round table discussion about his educational reforms if voted into power come 2024.
