NEWS IN: GFA officially appoints Chris Hughton as Black Stars head coach
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the appointment of Chris Hughton as the new Head Coach of the Black Stars. The decision comes after extensive discussions between the GFA and Hughton.
Hughton has been serving as the Technical Advisor of the Black Stars for the past year and his appointment is in line with the GFA’s goal of building a strong squad. This project was started with Otto Addo as the head coach leading up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The GFA has also decided to retain Assistant Coaches George Boateng and Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, who were part of the technical team for the World Cup. The details of Hughton’s contract, including its duration and terms of engagement, will be disclosed at a later date.
