GES Apologises For Having Issues With The Graduate Recruitment Portal
Management of the Ghana Education Service has apologised to the general public for having issues with the just opened recruitment portal for college of education graduates with diploma in education.
In a Facebook post sighted by ghanaeducation.org, GES revealed that the said issue would be resolved soon.
“We had a slight challenge with our recruitment portal. The technical team is working hard to resolve it. Kindly bear with us. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.”
This comes after GES opened the recruitment portal for all graduates with diploma in Basic Education. Following this, many diploma in education graduates seem to have issues applying for the teaching job. The website doesn’t seem to work fully and as the matter of fact, many graduates are worried now. The portal wasn’t ready for the recruitment when it was announced.
Below is the job description for the newly opened recruitment portal;
Job Purpose
a. To facilitate learning using 21scentury technology
b. Continuously improve learner’s ability to research using new technologies
c. Teach highly motivated learners, cater for learners with different learning
abilities and help them achieve excellent academic results
d. Attend relevant and continuous professional development sessions
e. Use variety of assessment tools and tasks to accurately assess levels of
learners competency
f. Any other responsibility that would be assigned to you by your Head of Institution
Interested Graduates Must Meet All These Requirements;
1. You must have Completed any of the accredited institutions (College/ University) and has no outstanding
exams or referrals.
2. You must have Must Hold Diploma in
Education Certificate
3. You must have Must completed the
mandatory National Service (NSS
Certificate)
4. You must have Passed the National
Teacher Licence Exams
5. You must be ready to work anywhere you are posted.
How To Apply
All applicants who are qualified must visit www.gespromotions.gov.gh and apply from 10th February, 2023 to 24th February, 2023.
Guidelines
Click on buy Voucher Code after logging onto www.gespromotions.gov.gh
Select the Mobile Money Network you would like to make payment with e.g (MTN Mobile money, Vodafone Cash, Tigo Cash or Airtel Money)
Type your ten (10) digit Mobile money number e.g (0123456789)
Type your valid Email Address e.g (gespromotions@gmail.com)
Click submit and wait for approval.
Quickly go to your phone dialing page and dial *170#, select wallet, select My Approvals, enter your four digit PIN and select option one (1) (accept approval)
An SMS which contains your Voucher Code will be sent to your inbox.
Copy only the Voucher CODE e.g (UXPYTNDMKSGJI)
Go back to the official GES website, click on the Apply button under GES SHS Recruitment and follow the next procedure.
Fill your personal details correctly starting with your full name as it is shown on your Academic Credentials.
Provide your age, Gender, residential address, Contact Number, Email address, Nationality and Languages Spoken.
Provide your qualification that is the Program title you read in the University e.g (BA, BFA, BSc, or B.Ed)
State your number of years of teaching experience. E.g (1,2,3,4 )
Provide your First, Second & Third Subject of preference. Note that these subjects of preference must be selected based on what you studied in your respective tertiary institution. E.g (Geography, Economics & Social Studies) Choose this from the dialogue boxes assigned to.
State the non-teaching work experience that you have (If any)
Choose 3 regions of your choice. E.g (1st=Greater Accra, 2nd = Central, & 3rd = Eastern)
Choose YES if you have completed your National Service.
Type the name of the NSS organization you served. E.g (Odoben Senior High School )
Type the Service Year E.g (2022 or 2018/2019)
Type your NSS NUMBER correctly.
Choose YES/NO if registered for the Licensure Exam. If YES, provide PIN and login.
Provide Schools attended starting from the highest to the lowest. That is from Tertiary to Basic.
Provide Schools names, the year you begun and completed.
Click SUBMIT and wait to receive a pop-up message which reads (Form submitted successfully, your application form is submitted Successfully).
