Security Operatives gun down level 400 student
According to reports, security operatives has allegedly gun downed a 400-level CRUTECH student.
CONVERSEER reports that a 400-Level student of the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS (formerly CRUTECH) has been allegedly killed by security operatives at the Calabar main campus.
The student identified only as Victor, from the department of Computer Science, CONVERSEER gathered was gunned down on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the school premises close to the Department of Biological Sciences.
Findings revealed that Victor belongs to one of the notorious gangs, and was declared wanted by security operatives in the State.
Confirming the report, the Public Relations Officer of UNICROSS, Mr Onen Onen said he cannot guarantee the exact security agency that killed the student.
His words: “I wouldn’t know who shot him, I wasn’t there. When it happened and I can’t say categorically; investigations are ongoing.”
Meanwhile, a team of soldiers and other security personnel were seen on campus shortly after the incident as students were running for their lives.
