Education Ministry announces job vacancies
Successful applicants to serve in any university within the country

The Ministry of Education is recruiting chairpersons and members of councils of public universities and constituent colleges.
In an advert, the ministry said it will place successful applicants to serve in any university within the country taking into account diversity in skills, regional and gender balance.
Interested candidates for the position of chairperson must hold a minimum of PhD degree from a recognised university.
“The candidate for the position of chairperson should have proven experience in leadership and management and satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution,” the ministry said.
It added that interested candidates for the position of member of the university council must hold a masters degree (executive masters are not accepted) from a recognised university.
Candidates must also satisfy Chapter Six of the Constitution.
The ministry said applicants should not be public servants or active members of any university faculty (both public and private).
They are also required to provide Commission for University Education certificates for degrees, diplomas and certificates awarded by foreign universities and institutions.
