Western North Region: 6 galamseyers including 2 Chinese arrested at Assemkrom(VIDEO)
Two Chinese and Four Ghanaians Galamseyers has been arrested at Assemkrom in the Aowin Municipality of the Western North Region by a Watchdog Citizens called itself Assemkrom anti Galamseyers youth yesterday in some cocoa farms near the community.
It has been on several occasions where some Aowin indigenous leading some foreigners to the Community for illegal mining but we the youth has assured ourselves to fight against any illegal activities in our community said the youth.
Currently the two Chinese together of four Ghanaians has been handed over peacefully to the Aowin Municipal Police Command again for vigilant investigation and prosecution urgently without delaying in it process because as it’s said Justice delay, Justice deny said the Youth.
Furthermore the Good Citizens of Assemkrom, Anti Galamseyers youth said just recently they seized some excavators and Galamsey equipment which they handed over to the District Police Command in the Municipality but nothing has come from it, they further needs the intervention of the municipal Chief Executive Hon. Samuel Adu-Gyamfi and the Western North Regional Minister to assist them in fighting against those Galamseyers from the Community, Because we the youth don’t want any Disturbances in the Community as some Communities has been experienced through illegal activities , we enjoys the peace we have Currently.
In addition, the community has been one of the foremost community in the Western enclave which produces huge Cocoa, Vegetables, and Coffee since Nkrumah’s administration till now but they are leaving in a deplorable state bad road Network, poor Network Connection and lacking of some Social amenities in the Community without Galamsey, so they are taking this privilege to plead to the first Gentleman of the Land H.E Nana Addo to help Said community and environs.
