Transport fares to go down if……
Transport fares will go down again if fuel sees significant reduction.
A member of the Driver unions in Ghana in an interview with Filasconews.com today, Tuesday January 10, 2023, stated that, if the associations notice a significant reduction in fuel prices at the pumps, they will also reduce transport fares.
Some Ghanaians are calling for the reduction on transport fares after number of Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) announced decrease in fuel prices at their pumps.
But, according to the member of the union, the current fuel prices does not call for a reduction on transport fares.
He was however optimistic that, if they see significant reduction in fuel prices, their leaders will also ask them to reduce fares.
Meanwhile, this portal has learnt that the Transport Minister is scheduled to having a meeting with the transport unions in the coming days over the above-mentioned development.
