NDC executives chase former party organizer for party cars, threaten legal action
A New Patriotic Party (NPP) Activist and an aspiring Member of Parliament(MP) for Ahafo Ano South West constituency in the Ashanti Region on the ticket of the elephant family, NPP, Mr. Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah has registered over three thousand children and the aged onto the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), to enable them access health care at the hospital without paying fees.
The beneficiaries were drawn from Mankranso, Kunsu, Mpasaaso No1&2, Achiase, Wioso, Manhyia, Onyinanufo, Dweneho and other villages in the Ahafo Ano South Constituency.
In an interview with Silver FM’s Akwadaa Nyame, Mr Dapaah explained that the registration was to offer residents who did not have the means to access quality health care at hospitals, the opportunity to send their children and aged parents to hospital anytime they were sick.
He noted that majority of the residents in the constituency were poor, and sometimes could not afford hospital bills for themselves and their wards, and therefore called on politicians and other well-endowed persons in the constituency, to work hard to reduce poverty in the area.
He said it was only when the children who are the future leaders were healthy, that they would grow and take up the mantle of leadership to ensure progress and development when the older generation was gone.
The aspirant MP advised the beneficiaries especially the children to take their education seriously, as it was the only sure way of achieving greater heights and eradicating poverty.
He charged the parents to take full responsibilities of their wards, and make efforts to cater for the social, economic, health and educational needs of their children.
Those who benefit from the exercise expressed their profound gratitude to Mr Elvis Osei Mensah Dapaah for his support. According to them, he has supported some of the residents who now in schools while others are into TVET.
