Sissala East: Driver absconds with 800 bags of Maize, Ghs10,000

A Long Vehicle Driver was contracted to Transport 800 bags of Maize to Tema in the Greater Accra Region from Tumu on the 24th of December 2022.
In the Process the driver agreed to the business and charged Ghc10,000 he took of from Tumu in a Long Vehicle with Registration Number GY 1375 – 21 and has since switched off his phone according to Mr. Nana Kwame Amoah.
Checks on the Insurance Details of the Vehicle Revealed that it was insured from 8th November 2022 to 7th February 2023 with Vanguard Assurance.

This truck driver was contracted at Tumu to transport about 800 bags of maize to Tema and was paid for his services. As I type over a week now his line is not going their neither has he arrived at the destination with the goods.
All efforts to find him has proven futile. A report has been made to the police but anyone with any information leading to his arrest will be rewarded.

We also spoke with the owner who assured us goes will be delivered. Both driver and owner’s numbers are off.Hence our actions”.

It must be inside the bag with the maize, beans or rice .
It will help track any place the goods sent .”
