Hon ‘YENTUMI’ dines with orphans, donates food items and cash to ‘The Heart Smiles Organization Children’s Home’

Hon.Frederick kwadwo Nkansah popularly known as Hon. YENTUMI, the assembly Member for Mpatuam west electoral area and a businessman,at Amansie west District in the Ashanti Region has donated food items and dined with orphanages at The Heart Smiles Children’s Home at Manso-Akropong.

The charity, dubbed ‘YENTUMI’s NEW YEAR ’s day with Children at The Heart Smiles Children’s Home premises on Monday , 2 January 2023.

The kind gesture was part of HON YENTUMI vision to bring joy to the faces of the inmates of the orphanage homes as the world celebrates New Year Day.

He donated food items such as bags of rice , one hundred creates of egg, rice, gari, sugar, and toiletries , as well as gallons of palm oil, gallons of oil and added an undisclosed amount of money to THE HEART SMILES ORGANIZATION CHILDREN’S HOME at Manso-Akropong in the Amansie West district of the Ashanti region.

The Assembly member of Mpatuam west electoral area also dinned with the inmates at the orphanage home.

Speaking to the press, after the presentation of the items, Hon Yentumi underscored that, “on this special New Year’s day, I saw it necessary to donate the food items worth Twenty thousand Ghana cedi (GHs 20,000) to the homes as well as dine with the orphans, drink with them and dance with them, because they have no parents. I realized that the move could put smiles on their faces.”

He advised all individuals to make it a responsibility to cater to the vulnerables and orphans . According to him, the well-being of the inmates at children homes should be their major priority.

Receiving the items on behalf of the orphanage homes Mr Douglas Owusu ( Managing Director of The Heart Smiles Children’s Home) thanked the assembly member for the kind gesture.

Mr Douglas Owusu said, “We really appreciate Hon Hon Yentumi’s effort. He has been our backbone. He’s donated a lot of things to us. We thank you so much. We pray to God for your life.”

He however seized the opportunity to plead with all stakeholders to support the Children’s homes.

According to him, about 10 of the inmates he raised are in various tertiary institutions whilst others have completed SHS. For this reason, he is calling on all individuals and the government for support.
