DCOP Agrippa Francis Oppong enstooled as Boagyaa Adontenhene
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Francis Oppong Mensah Agrippa has been enstooled as Boagyaa Adontenhene in the Ashanti Region.
The colourful enstoolment ceremony was held on Monday December 12, 2022, at the Boagyaa Chief’s palace.
Several dignitaries mostly from the Ghana Police Service (GPS) graced the occasion, including thousands of participants within and outside the area.
The swearing in ceremony was administered by the Chief of Boagyaa, Nana Osei Nyame Boateng (ii).
Nana expressed confidence in the subject and said he is of the firm believe that the Police Chief, who doubles as the Adontenhene of Boagyaa will deliver.
Known in private life as Francis Oppong Mensah Kyekyeku(DCOP), he is now NANA OKOKODURUFO(Brave King) OPPONG KYEKYEKU.
Speaking to the press after his enstoolment, Nana Okokodurufo Oppong Kyekyeku initially expressed gratitude to the Chief of Boagyaa and his elders for the great position glory bestowed him.
He pledged the Chief of Boagyaa to make himself available anytime, stressing that, he will not the Chief and the people down for the faith reposed in him
Secondly, he thanked the gathering for their support and to his family as well as the Ghana Police Service led by the Inspector General of Police(IGP) Akufo Dampare for their immense support.
Touching on his core mandate and vision to hold the position as the Adontenhene of Boagyaa, Nana Okokodurufo Oppong Kyekyeku assured the people of his full strength to clamping down on illegal mining activities.
The Adontenhene cum Police Chief added that, he will not relent on his efforts to fighting against menace of ‘galamey’ in the catchment area and Ghana as well, adding that the people should have faith in him and support him to deliver on their behalf.
In a sideline interview with Filasconews.com, Nana Okokodurufo Oppong Kyekyeku also spoke against illegal selling and double selling of plots of lands people.
He said, he will make sure sanity is maintained in all his doings, saying one of his mission is to serve and help the people.
He finally advised all Ghanaians to be law abiding citizens.
PARTICIPANTS
Section of the participants told filasconews.com that they are happy to have DCOP Agrippa Francis Oppong Kyekyeku as their Adontenhene.
They said the man(Nana Okokodurufo Oppong Kyekyeku) has been good to the communities and its inhabitants since time immemorial and believe he will continue his good deeds now that he has been enstooled as Adontenhene.
