Ghana’s football enemy, Luis Suarez has once again made headlines in the Ghanaian news after his side, Uruguay beat Ghana by 2 goals to nothing.

In what may be described as paradoxical situation, Luis Suarez and other Uruguay supporters who were supposed to jubilate over their victory, were rather seen crying in a deep sad mood at the expense of the Ghanaian team that lost.

This drama crafted many questions from Ghanaian supporters who could not fathom why a team that has won a match must rather be sad at the expense of the losing team.

Most of these Ghanaians who wondered the strange action from Luis Suarez thronged into the social media to question why he must cry despite winning winning against Ghana. Most of these Ghanaians who had the perfect reason for Luis Suarez’s crazy action kept on roasting and him and team for winning in vain.

Uruguay which had points could not secure success to the next stage after their counterpart, South Korea secured the same 4 points after beating Portugal, to be placed ahead of Uruguay. Luis Suarez and his team supporters after sensing that danger and for that matter, their work in vain, started weeping like never before.

Meanwhile, in pre match conference, Luis Suarez made it clear that he never regrets what he did against Ghana in the 2010 World Cup competition after he had saved his country by using his hand to catch a ball that had almost scored by Ghana’s young striker, Adiyia. According to him, he owed no apology to Ghanaians and that if it is the wish of Ghanaians for him to render any apology, they should forget since he was never ready to so.

The action which resulted to a penalty awarded to Ghana rather turned fiasco after the then deputy captain and striker of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan kicked the ball to hit an upper bar.

In what some termed as a likelihood revenge for Ghana, the two teams were scheduled to meet again in the 2022 world cup. But in a pre- match conference held by Luis Suarez on behalf of his country, he said Uruguay was ever ready to beat Ghana whenever they meet in any soccer match as they did in 2010.

“I owe Ghana no apology. If they have anyone to blame then it should be their player who missed the penalty. The only thing that would have made me apologize was if I injured any Ghanaian player”. He said.
