An experienced fowl thief Great Karim has been finally nabbed by the residents of Mankessim in the Mfatseman Municipality of the Central Region.
According to reports, the 28 year old man is known in the community as a popular thief, not only a fowl thief but he steals mobile phones, sandals and other things.
On Monday November 28, 2022, around 5:30am-6:00am, Great Karim (the suspect) made his way into a hen coop at Mankessim in an attempt to steal some of the birds.
According to residents of Mankessim who talked about the news in an interview with the press, the suspect (Great Karim) had already stolen over 50 fowls and mobile phones in the area.
However, luck eluded him on Monday November 28, 2022, as he was apprehended by some residents who were monitoring his movement into the place.
He was caught red handed with 3 fowls inside the hen coop.
They beat him up, tied him onto an electricity pole and attempted setting him ablaze if not with the timely intervention of good Samaritans.
In a video circulating online and watched by Filasconews.com, the suspect was seen with ropes all over his body and being tied to electricity pole.
The aggrieved residents surrounded him ready to take his life but he was later rescued and handed over to the police for further investigation into the matter.
The residents have however warned that they would not spare the life of any thief in the area and have called on the security agencies to up their game in Mankessim and Central Region as a whole.
