Artisan Association of Ghana marks 10th anniversary with health screening, health walk
The Artisans Association of Ghana has reached out to vulnerable individuals and it’s members as part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations.
The Association organized health screening for the members of the association and residents in kumasi of the Ashanti Region, which saw hundreds of underprivileged, low-income earning individuals and members from various skills from the gesture.
The beneficiaries were also given an advise to help them manage and protect from any various ailments they have.
President of Artisans Association of Ghana, Mr Gideon Bido said his outfit has replicated the gesture in every year as their cooperate responsibilities.
He indicated that Artisans Association of Ghana is committed to giving back to society to complement the government’s efforts in improving the living conditions of underprivileged individuals.
“This year is our 10th anniversary and as part of our celebrations, we feel that we should screen our members and also to give back to society. Aside from how this professions is known for, we decided that this year we are going to do health screening exercises and health walk”, he added.
The medical team that carried out the health screening exercise also spent time to advise the beneficiaries on ways to live a healthy lifestyle.
They took them through good eating habits, the advantages of regular medical check-ups, and their general well-being.
