Crate of egg to be sold GHc45 at the farms – Poultry Farmers disclose
Poultry Farmers in Ghana have disclosed that a crate of egg is going to be sold GHc45.00 at the farms.
According to the association, the decision to increase the price of the commodity is due to the high cost of living in the country and the cedi-dollar rate.
The farmers reiterated that henceforth, the price of the crate of egg at the farms is Forty Five Ghana cedis.
Public Relations Office (PRO) for the association, Mr. Asiedu Kwame speaking to the media on the issue said, if the association fails to selling it at the abovementioned price, the Poultry industry in the country will collapse.
He mentioned that the regular increment on Poultry feed and the high cost of the feed have bitten their industry harder thereby the need to also adjust their price a bit in order to stay relevant.
He therefore pleaded with Ghanaians to accept the new price.
