Assin Akropong Youth Association achieves 95% of It’s First 5years Development Plan, sets another goal

Assin Akropong Youth Association achieves 95% of It’s First 5years Development Plan, And has Set Another Seven(7) years Development Plan With a budget of GH¢5,477,060.00

The executives of the Assin Akropong Youth Association wishes to express their profound gratitude to our MP, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the MCE, Hon. Nicholas Fiifi Baako, Hon. Nurein Shaibu Migyimah, NDC Paliamentry candidate for Assin central, Elders of the community, all the Media house in Assin central and the entire people of Assin Akropong for the support they gave which enabled us achieved our goals and objectives with regard to our five(5) years development plan.

In connection with the finance committee,the education and culture committee,health and sanitation committee,the security and infrastructure committee, we have successfully achieved 95% of our first 5years development plan with a total amount of 426,500.00 gh cedis less donations.

This is the expenditure with respect to our 5 years development plan;

1. Renovation of Schools – 30,000.00

2. KVIP Renovation – 5,000.00

3. Donation to health center – 7,500.00

4. Construction of Police station – 50,000.00

5. Organizing Awards – 1,500.00

6. Educational support to individual -10,000

7. Educational materials – 4,000.00

8. Extra classes support -1,000

9. Unity Festival (2X) – 15,000.00

10. Vocational training – 6,500.00

11. Road works and follow ups 15,000.00

12. Quiz competition – 6,500.00

13. Covid 19 support program – 8,000.00

14. Organizing of forums 3,500.00

15. Community event Centre 150,000.00

16. Health insurance – 3,800.00

17. Rejuvenation of Adwenase forest as tourism site – 3,500.00

18. Sports assistance -2,700

19. Community library phase -100,000.00

With these achievements over the past 5years as an association, we have set a seven(7) years development plan with a budget of 5,477,060.00 gh cedis which are as follows;

SECURITY/INFRASTRUCTURE

1. Construction of police quarters

2. Dialogue with authorities on Akropong wurakese main road construction.

3. Dialogue with authorities on Akropong township inner roads.

4. Phase 2 and 3 of the event center construction.

5. Replanning of Akropong Township lay out.

6. Demolishing of old endangered buildings in the township.

7. Construction of the extraordinary youth city project.(West land city project)

EDUCATION AND CULTURE

1. Enhancing guidance and counseling in our schools

2. Completing of community library

3. Supporting private schools in the Akropong community.

4. Improving girl child education

5. Eradication of drug abuse

6. Organizing youth forums and motivational seminars

7. Vocational training

HEALTH AND SANITATION

1. Health insurance scheme for 3,000 people

2. Providing a modern dumping site

3. Tree planting within the community

4. Akotiman clinic support project.

5. Clean up exercises

6. Organize health screening (twice a year)

COMMUNICATION AND RESEARCH

1. Forming a communication team

2. Forming a committee for research to support the community

In view of these plans, I would urge all of us to support in diverse ways just as we did to achieve our first five( 5) years development plan which has brought development to our community to a large extent.
