Most of the time, spermatogenesis and how sperm work are to blame for male infertility. It has been shown that living a healthy lifestyle hurts the movement, number, and shape of sperm.

Medical News Today and Health Line say that men should do the four things below every day to boost their sperm count and health in general.

1. Eat foods that are good for you

You might not know how important diet is to your health as a whole. High levels of antioxidants are caused by a diet full of nutrients, which helps make more sperm. Fish, nuts, whole grains, low-fat dairy, vegetables, and fruits should be the main parts of your diet. Cut down on the processed, red, and junk foods you eat.

2. Exercise

The best kinds of exercise for staying healthy and getting pregnant are those that make you work your heart and lungs. Get your heart rate up and work up a sweat to make your sperm better.

Two to three times a week, your 45-minute workouts should include weightlifting and aerobic exercises like running. In the past, this has always led to the best results. Also, don’t do too much.

3. Take it easy and think good thoughts.

Can a positive outlook make sperm better and make more of them? Your mental and physical health should be balanced, if not exactly in proportion to each other. Stress is linked to a number of health problems, and research shows that stress may also affect a person’s ability to have children.

You need to figure out what drives and pleases you. Get more exercise, spend more time with the people you care about, and enjoy your hobbies more.

If you think you might be stressed, try some simple ways to calm down, like yoga, deep breathing, or being mindful.

4. Keep your cool.

Spermatogenesis is affected by temperature. This shows that testicular heat is a major cause of a man’s inability to have children. There is a strong link between a higher scrotal temperature and lower quality sperm.

For best testicular function, the temperature should be 2–4°C below body temperature. Keep your testicles cool and away from heat sources like hot tubs and cell phones.
