KUDAKWASHE Chapepa, who uses the stage name Kae Chaps, has put his album launch on ice after one of his former girlfriends allegedly engaged lawyers to go through the tracks before release.
Kae Chaps rose to fame early last year following the success of his single “Juzi”, which won the hearts of many.
The single was inspired by a real-life, heart-breaking experience.
After that, he also unleashed yet another real-life-inspired single “No Man Curse”.
Now, one of the singer’s ex-girlfriends believes his forthcoming project, “It’s not me, It’s you”, might have some nasty exposé of their failed relationship.
“My ex sent me some lawyers,” said Kae Chaps as he explained delays in the launch of his album.

The 13-track effort features established artistes such as Gemma, Nutty O and Holy Ten.
“The story behind the album’s title is that it is about a whole body of work. As you noticed, I released ‘Sorry Boys’ and was just trying to point out that it is not me, it is you,” Kae Chaps said.
“I feel like, at the end of the day, nobody wants to admit they are wrong. So, it is basically explaining how no one wants to admit that they are wrong.
“Everyone wants to appear to be right, yet there are two sides to every story.”
“Juzi” now has more than two million views on YouTube. His other tracks include “Huchapa” and “Gehena”, which have also done well. The artiste said he hopes to achieve more in his music career.
“I want to keep going; that is the drive that I have right now,” he said.
“Remembering where I was and how I manoeuvred myself to get this music going, I feel blessed. God came through for me. I have come this far because of Him.”
The musician also spoke about two songs that on the album – “Vana Vangu” and “Hwisiri”.
“‘Vana Vangu’ is about everyone, because, at the end of the day, we are all parents or we are going to be parents at some point, while in ‘Hwisiri’, I talk about all the crazy stuff one does for the other gender, and we have all gone through that phase.” However the album was released on Friday.-Sunday Mail
