W/R: Anti galamsey taskforce burn 5 Changfan machines, 51-year-old arrested

The Anti galamsey taskforce in the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region have burnt five(5) Changfan machines also known as “Tototo”.
Illegal miner was also arrested by the taskforce in the same operation.
The illegal miners were doing illegal mining activities in the River Ankobra.
Sixteen of the Galamseyers escaped arrest after they jumped into the river.
The taskforce was formed by the Municipal Chief Executive of Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region, Hon. Fredrick Korankye to fight the Galamsey menace.
The illegal miner arrested by the taskforce was a Fifty One(51) year old Joseph Ofori Tsatsu.
