Residents of Ewoku cry for help, call on Gov’t to complete their abandoned maternity block, deplorable school building

Residents of Ewoku in the Nzema East District of the Western Region have made a passionate appeal to government, to as matter of urgency, rehabilitate their dead trap KG block, and complete the constrution of an abandoned maternity block in the community.
The people complained that wall and the roof of the building in a worst shape, posing imminent danger to the kids and the teachers.
According to them teachers find it difficult to teach the children in the block since they do not feel safe when in it.
Speaking in an interview with Angel FM’s Bawah baidoo, residents disclosed that, the community has been able to start building an ultramodern maternity block which is about 80% complete but due to lack of funds, work on it has halted.
”Pregnant women are suffering in the community because they have to go to Axim or Nsien before they can get access to good healthcare, meanwhile the road is in a deplorable state.
We pay our taxes through our rubber plantation but we don’t get any benefits from them”, the people yelled.
They reiterated that there is a bridge that connects Agona and Ewoku, which has turned into dead trap.
