C/R: Quarry Stone Owners deny killing two, injuring many through Dynamite blast
Owners of the quarry stone Company in Abura Tetsi in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District of the Central Region has denied killing two persons and injured many through dynamite blasting in the community.
According to them, the community is having all the requisite documents that permits the quarry stone site to do business in the community.
They said, there is no truth in what has been viral that two persons have died in the community through dynamite blasting.
Addressing the press, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Hon. Obire Ewuah also hinted, He is aware that such quarry stone site is operating in his District but he can state it categorically that they are causing no harm to the residents in the area.
The DCE used the opportunity to opine that, the Chief of Abura Tetsi, Okogyeabo Preprah X accusing him of not attending to his gathering is never true.
He said the Chief don’t give him the needed.
“Respect is reciprocal. If you don’t give me respect, I will do the same”, the DCE stressed.
The District Chief Chief further hinted that, the quarry stone company has benefited the Residents in the Community as it has employed over 70 youths in the community.
Lately, a sub-chief for the area, the Omankrado for the area Nana Kwaw Emminsa said, he gave the quarry stone site for them and he sees no harm in it.
According to him, the Odikro for the area has no right to questions anybody on where they got their permits from to do their business.
He said, the quarry stone owners have really helped the community interms of Social Intervention, according to the sub-chief, the company has built CHIP Compound for the community, has constructed some of the Cocoa roads in the area and has employed some Youths in the community and many more.
He urged the general public to disregard the report that dynamite blast has killed two persons and many have injured in the Community.
