“We are committed to bringing back your glory” – CPP to Nkrumah’s ‘ghost’
The CPP has stated that, it will surely bring back the past glories of the ‘ghost’, the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Chairperson for the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Nana Sarpong Frimpongmaa Kumankuma has pledged that, they will renew their committ to bring back the glory of their founder and leader of the Party, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Addressing the media during a visit to the tomb of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah as the country was celebrating Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s 113 birthday, she said, they will do everything to bring back the glory of Ghana back irrespective of where they left they will do.
According to her, they ask for the strength, intervention, spirit of their forefathers to enable their dreams comes into reality.
The Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day is a statutory public holiday observed in the country to mark the birthday of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah, who was born on September 21, 1909 at Nkroful, near Axim in the Nzema East Municipality in the Western Region of the then Gold Coast, now Ghana.
It would have marked the 113th birthday of Dr Nkrumah if he were alive.
General Secretary for CPP, Nana Yaa Gyantuah expressed her frustration at the rate at which the economy is going calling on President Akufo to resign.
