Robbery incidents: Police beef up security in Asankrangwa
Police have beefed up security in Asankrangwa following the recent attacks and robbery incidents in the Asankrangwa community and its environs.
A week ago, unknown armed men attacked a Gold Dealer, identified as Birdman and made away with over GHc1.3m(13 billion) and bolted with pure and gold dust too.
The robbers also shot some residents during the attack and took away away their belongings.
The development has brought a relief to the people of Asankrangwa and the entire Amenfi West Municipality of the Western Region.
The Divisional Police Command in Asankrangwa have intensified day and night patrols after the robbery incident.
The residents are worried that, a week will not pass by without recording a robbery incident in the Asankrangwa township.
They mentioned Asankrangwa-Sefwi Bekwai road, Asankrangwa and Asankran – Saa -Kwabeng stretch as the hotspot for robbery cases.
The move by the Divisional Police Command indicates a ready onslaught on armed robbers and their nefarious activities in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality.
Some police personnel who spoke to Agyemfra Bright on condition of anonymity commended the Municipal Security Command for the swift reaction and called for More police personnel to help beef up security in Wassa Amenfi West.
