Mass wedding is economical, time saving – Rev T.E Aidoo admonishes
Rev Mrs T E Aidoo, the Head Pastor of Assemblies of God (AG) church Ghana (Esikadu PMC), has indicated that mass wedding is very economical, time saving and without stress.
She noted that mass wedding eliminated the burden of financial difficulties, marriage planning and busy schedules among partners who could not organised separate ceremonies.
The Rev Minister said these on Sunday at a special Mass Wedding service for 10 couples of the church during the climax of their Easter convention at Esikadu, in the Western region.
The couples, including the youth, middle aged persons and older people, dressed in traditional attire amidst singing and dancing with their family and friends, joined the congregation to thank God.
Rev Mrs Aidoo stated that the church bored the cost of city council registration, gazetting and certification of the marriages, decoration, canopies and chairs among others, for the couples.
” my members have always bless the church with their tithes, offerings and donations. This is the time for the church to give back to the congregation in times like this” she noted.
The Head Pastor stressed that the general welfare of the congregation should be the leading priority of the church saying “a friend in need is a friend indeed. This is what Jesus Christ teaches us”.
Rev Mrs Aidoo emphasised that she received the direction and inspiration from God to bring partners together in one joint service to bless their marriages.
She revealed that most churches in the Secondi – Takoradi metropolis have decided to replicate the idea, and that she urged pastors and church leaders in the country to adopt it for their members.
The Head pastor implored the newly wedded couples to uphold good moral living, respect for themselves, good communication, effective prayer and study of the bible, throughout their marriage journey.
Mr and Mrs Essien, on behalf of the beneficiary couples, thanked the Assemblies of God church (Esikadu PMC) for their timely support saying “this is the role of the church”.
