You can go to court, our lawyers are ready – CETAG to PRINCOF
The General Secretary of Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana(CETAG), Mr. Thomas Ampomah is asking Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education to go to court if they think the action of CETAG is illegal.
CETAG has directed its members across the Public Colleges of Education in the Country to go on leave for over 28 days as mandated by law according to CETAG.
However, Principals of Colleges of Education(PRINCOF) in Ghana has described the action by CETAG as a strike in disguise.
The President of PRINCOF, Dr. Emmanuel Nyamekye in an interview with the media said, CETAG made their decision without approval from PRINCOF.
Reacting to the comment by PRINCOF President on Monday, September 12, 2022, on Silver FM’s morning show hosted by Nana Ampratwum, the General Secretary of CETAG, Mr. Thomas Ampomah said, CETAG need not to seek approval from PRINCOF before making decision.
“PRINCOF can not tell us to seek approval from them before we make decision. If they think we are wrong in our decision, they can go to court, our lawyers are ready and prepared to meet them”, Mr. Thomas stressed during the interview monitored by Filasconews.com.
He added that, their action is legal and mandated to them to proceed on the leave hence breaches no rule.
