The Black Stars Lineup That Will Shock Brazil
The Black Stars Lineup That Will Shock Brazil
It is going to be Ghana versus Brazil on the 23rd of September and afterward, the Black Stars will face Nicaragua. In this article, I am interested in putting out the best eleven that Ghana can field against Brazil in order to potentially defeat them.
Brazil is the number 1 team in the World according to FIFA Ranking and Ghana beating them will be able to serve as momentum to push them and boost their morale as they are going to face not 1 but 2 of the powerhouses of football in their group.
The goalkeeper area is going to be tough as we have both Richard Ofori and Jojo Wollacott both doing well for their clubs this season. I will pick Jojo Wollacott to be in the post as he has seemingly proven himself after the World Cup Qualifiers.
Manaf and Atizigi are all losing their positions at their clubs which is not a good sign at all. For the right-back position in this match, I will hand it over to Tariq Lamptey who switch to join the Black Stars recently in order to have his debut.
The left-back position seems to now belong to Gideon Mensah as he has proven himself to be perfect for the position. With the central defensive pair, I will be going in for Mohammed Salisu together with Alexander Djiku.
We are used to Daniel Amartey pairing with Djiku but since it is time to try new players I am sitting him out.
In the midfield, I will bring in Dennis Odoi, and if you check his club side, he has been good. I will add Jeffrey Schlupp to the midfield as he is one of the versatile players and it seems might be making a comeback to the National Team.
For the four strikers, I will go in for Osman Bukari on the right side who is one of the most in-form Black Stars this season. The left side will be handled by Dede Ayew.
In the middle of these two will be Mohammed Kuddus who is also struggling for playing season at Ayax and Antoine Semenyo who is doing good for his club Bristol City in the Englsih Championship.
