Omanhene of Juaben has never ordered any sub chief of Konongo to crawl on the belly

Ex sub chiefs of Konongo Traditional Council have today debunked a news going viral on social media that the Omanhene of Juaben Traditional Council, Daasebre Nana Otuo Serebour II, ordered sub chiefs of Konongo to crawl on their belly at his palace.

These sub chiefs are; Nana Kwadwo Owusu Abrokwa ( ex Krontihene), Nana Osei Tweneboa Kodua (ex Gyaasehene), Nana Yaw Frimpong (ex Okyeame), Nana Kwame Yeboah ( ex Benkumhene) and Nana Sarfo (ex Sumankwahene) all of Konongo Traditional Council.

Few days ago, it was in the news that the above named sub chiefs been ordered by Daasebre Nana Otuo Serebour II of Juaben to kneel and also crawl on their bellies for their late chief not properly introducing them to him.

Reacting to this in a press conference, Nana Kwame Yeboah, stated categorically that at no time have they been subjected to any cruelty, inhuman and degrading treatment and neither have their dignities been violated by Daasebre Nana Otuo Serebour II.

“We want to state on record that we are in no way associated with the action and those who have instituted the action are acting on their own Accord and for their own personal interest and do not respect the interest of any of us”. He stated.

Nana Yeboah said, they respectfully recognize the Juabenmanhene as the overlord of the Konongo Stool and they declared that all actions taken by Daasebre Nana Otuo Serebour II, relative all matters involving the Konongo Stool is proper and in accordance with custom.
