B/R: Nearly 100 Cattle Killed Following An Attack On Fulani Community At Adoye Odumasi
Residents of Adoye Odumasi in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region, a fulani community, early this morning, woke up to a terrible experience following an attack by unknown gun men which lead to killing of nearly one hundred cattle.
The reason for the attack cannot be established immediately but the alarmed residents said this could purely be an act of banditry as the attackers were seen carting away some of the slain cattle in motor tricycles.
No human casualty was recorded but with each cow valued at Ghc 7000 on the average, the attack could have set the residents area back at millions of cedis as 89 cattle have been reported killed with several others unaccounted.
Secretary for Tabital Pulaaku International, Ghana Chapter, Alhaji Yakubu Musah Barry has described the attack as unwarranted and unfortunate, calling on the police to investigate the matter to ensure the pepertrators are made to account for their actions. Alhaji Barry has also urged the affected victims to exercise restrain whiles effort are made to ensure the matter is thoroughly investigated.
