GALAMSEY pit swallows 3 people at Dompoase(VIDEO)
Disheartening news gathered by Filasconews.com is that, three(3) people have met their untimely demise after galamsey pit swallowed them at Wassa-Dompoase in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region.
According to the report by eye witness, Abrewa Nana Kwabena Tawiah Tikese, the 3 went to mine but unfortunately, the pit caved in on them.
“The youths in the area normally go to the site to work(mining) in order to get their daily bread.
They have been mining there over a long period of time but unfortunately for these three friends, the pit collapsed on them at the dawn of Sunay, July 31, 2022, around 12:00am”, Abrewa Nana told Filasconews.com today, August 1, 2022.
All the three; Ahmed, Wofa and Kay died instantly.
Their bodies had since been deposited at the morgue in Wassa Amenfi Government Hospital for autopsy and preservation.
Investigation has commenced.
