JUST IN: Chief Linguist allegedly gunned down in Western North Region
A chief linguist of Sefwi Proso in the Juaboso District of the Western North Region has been allegedly shot dead in a forest by unidentified persons.
According to reports, Nana Fuachie went hunting in the Krokosue Hill forest reserve on Sunday evening but failed to return the next day. Later, it was communicated to the chief and elders of the community that he hasn’t returned.
The Community launched a search for him but was not found. They continued the search Wednesday and found him dead and naked with a gunshot wound beneath his stomach.
The body has been retrieved and deposited at the Juaboso Government Hospital morgue for further investigation by the police.
The Chief of Sefwi Proso, Nana Tan Kwaku II, told Onua News the elders will perform the necessary rituals to expose the perpetrator(s).
“We are really saddened by the unfortunate incidence. I have therefore performed the necessary Rites and pacification to our black stool and ancestors to help us apprehend whoever is behind this”.
