COLA: “We also deserve better” Registered Midwives
The Association of Registered Midwives in Ghana have joined the Cost of Living Allowance fight, demanding for their share.
According to the Association, they are part of the institutions ought to have benefited from the COLA but they have been ignored by successive governments.
Teacher Unions in the country started the fight of the COLA, asking government to pay them.
The four teacher Unions in the country namely, NAGRAT, GNAT, CCT and TEWU are on strike due to lack of their COLA from the government.
However, the Midwives Association have joined the fight.
Speaking on Omanbapa morning show on Silver FM in Kumasi today, July 12, 2022, hosted by Kwabena Ampratwum, the President of the Association, Mrs. Mary Ofosu said, their members also deserve the COLA.
She lamented that, government shouldn’t have waited for them to come out before what is due them would be given to them.
Mrs. Ofosu stated without hesitating on the show monitored by Filasconews.com that, they also deserve better and their share of the COLA should be given to them.
