C/R: Muslims mark Eid-Ul-Adha in Grand style at Jukwa
Muslims at Jukwa in the Hemang Lower Denkyira in the Central Region joins others around the world to mark the 2022 Eid-ul-Adha celebrations today, July 9.
During the Eid-ul-Adha celebration all Muslims joined together at the Jukwa Methodist school park praying to the Almighty Allah to accept their sacrifices.
The Muslims settled at Jukwa in the late 1930s led by Topsorba Zangina, Baba Hamidu,Allahaji Zangina,Baba Dugali who was the first Zongo chief etc.
In an interview with Joel Donkoh Bankam fm morning show producer
Saliki (Zongo chief) Basheru Yunisah also highlighted three problems face the zongo community, firstly the expansion of Mosque has been a major challenge, access to water such as blowhole which will serve the community with good drinking water and finally toilet facility has been of the problems one within zongo is in bad shape and the other facility is far from the community he therefore appeals to Government, NGOs and philanthropist to assist them improve the zongo community.
The C.E.O of Jukwa Cold store Mr Ebenezer Kingsford Mansah presented soft drinks,biscuits and bottled water to grace their Eid-ul-Adha celebration he also promised five bags of clement to support the expansion of the mosque.
