Pharmacists urged to accept posting to rural communities
Rector of Ghana College of Pharmacists Yvonne Yirenkyiwaa Esseku has appealed to Pharmacists practitioners to accept posting to any part of the country, especially the deprived communities where their services are mostly needed
This, she said, would enable them to embrace deprived area incentives and transfer their know-how and expertise to underserved areas in order to help bridge the gap in health professionals distribution across the country.
This in the view of the College she said will inspire the Pharmacists to enable them to deliver the best possible health service to the people of the country and achieve the Universal Health Coverage Road Map.
Speaking at the 2022 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference in Accra, she said the law which was used to establish the Ghana College of Pharmacists is to train specialists Pharmacists and have enough knowledge on specific medication in order to prescribed better medicines for patients
