85% of Human Activities Cause Flooding In Ashanti Region- Deputy NADMO Director
The Deputy National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) in the Ashanti Region has stated that, Eighty Five Percent of human activities cause flooding in the region.
Speaking on a Kumasi Based Silver FM’s Morning Show dubbed Omanbapa and hosted by Nana Ampratwum, Mrs. Margaret Owusu said, naturally, some areas are flood prone in the region but says human activities form major part of it.
Adding during the interview monitored by Filasconews.com, Mrs. Owusu revealed that, her outfit has done major works in most of the flood areas to curbing it but in some cases, according to her, human activities have wasted their efforts.
She therefore appealed to the residents to put a stop to dumping of waste into our River bodies.
The Deputy NADMO Coordinator was responding to measures putting in place by her outfit to curbing the flood menace in the region.
