Bishop Ayensu Bosomtwe Denies Stealing GH¢200,000 From Church Coffers
The Former Obuasi Methodist Diocese Bishop, Stephen Ayensu Bosomtwe has refuted claims that, he stole GHc200,000 from the church.
Former Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports under the erstwhile NDC administration, Joseph Yamin has alleged that the former Methodist Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu is corrupt hence he doesnt have any credibility to chastise former President John Mahama.
Joseph Yamin revealed that Bosomtwe Ayensu allegedly embezzled Two Hundred Thousand Ghana cedis when he was the head pastor of Obuasi Diocese.
“Bishop Bosomtwe Ayensu is very corrupt he embezzled GH¢200,000 (Two Hundred Thousand Ghana cedis) when he was the Head pastor at Obuasi, the case has not still been settled yet,” Joseph Yamin said on Kumasi-based Abusua FM.
However, Bishop Ayensu Bosomtwe has denied the allegations leveled against him.
Speaking on AMANSIE TIE on KESSBEN TV/FM hosted by AKUOKO KWARTENG, Bishop Stephen said, he has never in his life as a man of God being corrupt neither would he steal from the church coffers.
He added on the show monitored by FILASCONEWS.COM that, it is a propaganda on the part of some NDC members to tarnish his hard earned image with the untruth.
He said, he has a thick skin and such kinds of fabricated propaganda won’t wash.
He has therefore rubbished the claims saying: “I have never and would never do such a sin. The records are there, anyone can check from the Church.
I’ve not stolen Ghc200,000 from the Obuasi Methodist Diocese”, he told the host Akuoko.
