“If I Die, You Can Decide Not To Bury Me, I Don’t Care”- Bishop Ayensu Bosomtwe To Methodist Church
It seems the Controversy over the comment made by the former Methodist Bishop of the Obuasi Diocese is taking a different dimension as Bishop Ayensu has also hit hard at the Methodist Church after their statement.
Bishop Stephen Ayensu Bosomtwe during the 25th Synod ceremony of the Obuasi Diocese held at MT Zion Methodist Church hit hard at former president Mahama.
He stated during his speech that, the later will never return to the presidency throne of Ghana again.
His comment comes after JDM’s comments on E-Levy.
Former president Mahama has said, the e levy introduced by the current administration is a nation wrecker and would be scrapped when, he comes back as the president of Ghana for the second time.
“I will repeal it in the next NDC administration”, JDM added.
This comment did not gone down well with the Methodist Bishop, this, his reprisal comment.
However, the Methodist Church after the pressure mounted on them especially from the biggest opposition party, NDC, came out to despising their own.
In the Church’s statement, they distanced themselves from Mr. Ayensu.
MEANWHILE, Speaking on AMANSIE TIE on KESSBEN TV/FM on SATURDAY, May 14, 2022, Bishop Ayensu has responded to the Church’s statement for the first time.
He questioned by the host of the program, HON. AKUAKO KWARTENG, his take on the Methodist statement.
He answered, ” Mr. Host, Akuoko, I’ve been in the ministry as a man of God for over 40 years with good services. Whatever i do or say is in accordance with the principles of the book because I hate lies and liars”.
“If the Methodist Church(my own church) has distanced themselves from my comment, that doesn’t denigrate me. The Church can even decide not to bury me when I’m dead, I don’t care because I’ve done work as a true man of God”, he fumed on the program monitored by Filasconews.com
