ODUMASI: Grandmother Glues 11-Year-Old Boy’s Eye As A Revenge
Mrs. Ama Kyere, a grandmother of a 9 Year Old Angel, has glued the eyes of Nyarko, 11, as a form of revenge.
According to report by a Unit Committee Member, Wofa Kwaku in an interview on Central Region based Bankam FM, the duo, Nyarko and Angel, 11 and 9 years respectively are Classmates of St. Vicent Preparatory School at Abrafo-Odumasi in the Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.
The two friends were playing and mistakenly, a chemical called ‘super glue’, in the hands of Nyarko, spilled out forcibly into Angel’s face, affecting his eyes.
Angel went home and complained to his grandma, Ama Kyere, who also went to a provision store and bought super glue.
” Immediately the Child complained to his grandmother, she quickly went to a nearby provision store, bought super glue, called Nyarko and intentionally dropped the super glue into his eyes as a retaliation”, the Unit Committee Member added.
Both children were rushed to the Abrafo Clinic for treatment but, due to the degree of Nyarko’s injury, he was transferred to Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment.
The incident happened at Abrafo-Odumasi in the Central Region on May 10, around 9PM.
Nyarko is on the verge of losing his sight.
The case has been officially reported to the Jukwa Police but arrest is yet to be made.
