The brother of former President John Dramani Mahama, Ibrahim Mahama has awed netizens after he displayed his drifting skills with his expensive Mercedes Benz.
In what is clearly an exhibition of youthful exuberance, the business mogul turned his car in a circular motion in a manner that earned applause from a group of young men and women who gathered at the venue to catch the rare glimpse.
Drifting is a driving manoeuvre where the driver of a car intentionally steers too much, causing the car’s rear tires, or sometimes all the tires, to lose their grip on the road.
Drifting works by intentionally putting a car in an oversteer state, where it overcomes the natural traction between the wheels and the road. The driver then controls this state, forcing the car to continue drifting until the turn is complete.
