Two Players Get Approval to Play For The Black Stars
It is highly anticipated that the Black Stars of Ghana will do well at the world cup finals in Qatar later this year. But that feat will not come just as easy as a wish. It will take time, preparation, commitment, good management, excellent technical abilities, just to name a few.
Many football teams who have achieved greater feats didn’t do it by accident, a lot went into it.
The Ghana Football Association has taken steps that the senior national does well at this tournament. It was shown during the excellent display during the world cup playoffs.
Nonetheless, a lot more needs to be done in order to be sure of the team’s preparedness for such a competitive stage.
The good news that is coming indicates that Inaki and Nico Williams have received approval from their parents to play for the Blacks Stars. Nico and Inaki are Spanish-born players who are currently playing in the Spanish La Liga. Williams has played for the Spanish national team in a friendly against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Last year, he indicated his skepticism in playing for Ghana. He said it will be unfair for him to take the place of others who are 100% Ghanaians.
For whatever reason, perhaps the qualification to the world cup, that has made these brothers motivated to play for where their parents come from. When these players are able to join the team, in addition to others, the team will be solid.
The Black Stars are hoping to build a solid team and hopefully they will do well in Qatar.
