DCE Admits Zero Road Construction Works In His District

The District Cheif Executive (DCE) of Fantakwa South District in the Eastern Region, Hon. Ernest Ofosu, has stated that, the district has zero percentage in road construction works.

But, he assured the people that, all the roads in the area have been awarded to contractors and very soon, the people will witness massive road construction works.

Hon. Ernest Ofosu made this known during a 3 projects sod cutting ceremony at Osino on Thursday, August 18, 2022.

The projects were the construction of Osino Lorry Park, Nsutem SDA JHS and Hemang SDA JHS.

In a sideline interview with Power FM’s reporter Emmanuel Adjetey, Hon. Ernest Ofosu said, since the formation of the District by President Akuffo Addo in 2018, it has been one of his priority to constructing a Lorry park for the community.

Therefore, he was enthused cutting sod for the project on Thursday.

He also said the construction of the two school blocks will help improve the education in the District.

Bringing his speech to a conclusion, Hon. Ernest Ofosu stated publicly that the projects cost over GH¢2million.

The GPRTU branch chairman Isaac Bepong a. k. a Koo Osika also expressed his gratitude and thanked the DCE and government for the lorry Park project.

The Project’s Contractor, Mr. Oscar Adu Sarfo, CEO for Osafric Construction and Mining company disclosed that, they have 8 months to construct a three unit classroom block that is disability friendly and also consist of a staff common room and headteacher’s office.

“We will do our best to finish the work within the time range,” he said.
