Kumasi: Two killed as Cargo Truck capsizes on them (VIDEO& PHOTOS)
Two people have met their untimely demise as mini long vehicle truck capsizes on them at Dr. Mensah, a busy market area and transport arena in the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly of the Ashanti Region.
The sadden incident occurred today, Sunday, February 27, 2022, at about 1:20pm.
The Cargo Truck with Registration number, AS-4403-12, lost control at the aforementioned location, killing the two female passerbys.
Some people have also sustained various degrees of injury.
A Trotro vehicle with registration number, AS-1568-21,also got destroyed by the cargo.
The driver of the trotro, Amofa Emmanuel told filasconews that, the cargo driver failed break and lost control when descending the light hill on the road, causing the mayhem and damaging his trotro vehicle too.
“I landed my vehicle into a gutter else…. it would have been trapped under the cargo and all the passengers in my car could have perished”, he told this news portal.
He revealed that, the cargo was transporting groundnuts.
The incident was gory to the extent that, some body parts of the deceased have been teared-apart by the cargo.
However, the police have conveyed the bodies to the morgue whiles investigation commenced.
