Just in: NCCE Chairperson Resigns
The Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, Josephine Nkrumah has resigned.

In a resignation letter dated February 21, 2022, she thanked all Ghanaians for their support.
The resignation takes effect on April 30, 2022.
She however did not state reasons for her resignation.
Josephine Nkrumah is a Ghanaian lawyer who was appointed as Deputy Chairperson for the Commission in 2015 and subsequently appointed substantive chairperson on December 20, 2016, by former President John Dramani Mahama after losing the 2016 presidential election.

Her appointment raised my concerns among the members of the New Patriotic Party who questioned why the former president could make such a critical appointment when he has lost power and preparing to hand over to the new administration.
