A trailer driver, Amadu Watara, has met his untimely demise on the Akomadan-Offinso highway in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region.
The said driver of the Burkina Faso long vehicle truck was heading towards Offinso from Techiman.

“The driver and his mate were in the trailer but the mate was able to jump out from it before it landed into the ditch but the driver could not”, DSP Gyasi revealed on the show hosted by Nana Ampratwum.
The driver spent at least 24hours inside the trailer’s locked up head, in the ditch, after all efforts proved futile on the first day.
“The incident happened on Saturday noon but we were able to remove the truck from the hole yesterday, and unfortunately, he was suffocated to death”, he opined.
