Assin Juaso to host 2022 District Farmers Day Celebration
All is set for Assin Juaso to host the 2022 District Farmers Day celebration with the climax on Friday, 2nd December, 2022 at the Assin juaso school Park.
The day is meant to honor farmers for their immense contribution to the development of Agriculture in Ghana.
The muncipal Chief Executive for Assin central, Hon Nicholas Fiifi Baako and his coodinating Director Mrs Dorcas Hensford and some muncipal officials including the muncipal Director for Agriculture, Mr Francis Freeman are expected to grace the event.
Since it was introduced by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture in 1988, the first Friday in December has been set aside to honor farmers and fishermen for their efforts in feeding the nation and recognize the vitals contribution’s of a Strong Agricultural sector to the prosperity of the Ghanaian economy” This is the second time that Assin juaso will host District Farmers day since it’s inception.
According to the muncipal Agriculture director Mr Francis Freeman, local committee’s have been set up to augment the efforts of the muncipal committee to organize” successful events.
He said security personnel will be deployed to vantage point in the town ensure an incident free Farmers day celebration”.
